Joining the ranks of Beyonce and Kanye West, Rihanna will receive the Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award when the moon men are handed out at the 2016 MTV Video Music Awards on Aug. 28.

The pop phenom has been known to shock and awe in her visuals, from the crime drama that played out in her 2015 short film for "Bitch Better Have My Money" to the bad romance in her fiery clip for 2011's Calvin Harris collaboration "We Found Love."
